Math for the Real World 2nd blog

This instructional game creates a new way for students to learn mathematics. It is appealing as musical features guide students to be apart of various learning skills such as; addition and subtraction, money, time, fractions, decimals, percents, weight, measurement and patterns. Children can manipulate and personalize variables such as; the background and foreground content making their own creation, compiling a full-length animated video that can be saved and display for teachers and family to view. "When students know they will be playing a game, they expect a fun and entertaining activity because of the challenge of the competition and the potential for winning" (Randel, Morris, Wetzel, & Whitehill, 1992). Student can be motivated using the various activities offered by this game, which challenges students to compete. Math for the Real World give students the opportunity content skill practice and problem solving in a fun, entertaining environment.
